Prologis acquires logistics property in Hamburg-Moorfleet

Düsseldorf, September 22, 2026 – Prologis has acquired a logistics property in Hamburg-Moorfleet. The property comprises around 94,000 square meters of logistics space on a plot of around 160,000 square meters and is fully let to the family-run logistics company FIEGE.

In the Prologis portfolio, the property will be managed as Hamburg Moorfleet DC2 in the future. With the acquisition, Prologis is expanding its existing portfolio in the east of Hamburg. The property complements the existing Prologis locations in Billbrook and Allermöhe as well as the company's continued presence in Moorfleet.

Hamburg Moorfleet DC2 is located directly on the A1 and A25 motorways and around ten kilometres from the Port of Hamburg and the city centre. The location enables both the supply of the Hamburg city area and supra-regional distribution.

With Hamburg Moorfleet DC2, we have acquired an established location that is already used by an existing customer and fits well with our long-term perspective in Hamburg."

Targeted investments in the portfolio

Hamburg Moorfleet DC2 consists of three building sections from 2006, 2007 and 2022. These include work on the roof and building technology, the installation of a photovoltaic system and heat pumps, as well as further LED conversions and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Prologis has been active in Germany since 1999 and has expanded its portfolio here by around 50 percent over the past five years. In 2026 alone, the company continued this expansion with several acquisitions: In March, Prologis acquired five fully let logistics properties with a total of around 139,000 square meters in Dortmund, Bönen, Herne and Worms from Union Investment. Most recently, another fully let portfolio property with adjacent development space was added in Bönen, complementing the existing cluster in the eastern Ruhr area.
